There are many important aspects to teaching. First you have to have the heart to become a teacher. Secondly you have to know what it's really about. Teaching isn't just a job that you can get paid for. To do the job you have to be willing to put in the extra hours and you have to really care for your students.
Getting started: To get started you need schooling yourself, a bachelor's degree in teaching, pass required exams by the state, and be certified. You will need to apply for the job at which ever schools you want to teach at and be ready to have a professional resume.
Classroom prep: For a classroom you will be given desks and cabinets but the decoration part is all you! Remember you classroom is also going to need rules and expectations, a reward system, and just make sure you will have a good structure for your students.
Student learning: Be on top of your lessons plans and curriculum. Have yourself set up for each day and stay on top of grading. Be organized and positive when teaching.
Remember that students are different. They all have their own needs so be prepared to give those who need extra help the help they need.
If you can immerse your students with all lessons but not just math and writing but different cultures, arts, and life skills like manners.

Engage your students because questions are good!

A Good Read.
This book is where you will find pearls of wisdom, heartfelt advice, and inspiration from one of the nation’s leading authorities on staff motivation, teacher leadership, and principal effectiveness. With wit and understanding, Todd Whitaker describes the beliefs, behaviors, attitudes, and interactions of great teachers and explains what they do differently.
It would be a good book for any teacher or those interested.
